SJCC: Multi-Disciplinary + Arts

Project Description: A 31,000 SF facility that has been designed to house a multi-disciplinary wing and the Music, Fine Art & Ceramics departments. Also included in the project will be an Art Gallery and offices with support facilities for faculty who will be in this facility. This project is being implemented using the design-build project delivery, the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and certified as a LEED® Silver building by the USGBC.

Highlights: Won the 2011 Structures Award as the Best Public Civic Project from the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal.

EVC: Critical Infrastructure Phase 1

Budget: $3,809,839 - Est. Completion Date: January 2012

Project Description: Installation of new chilled water and heating direct buried piping at Cedro and Gullo to improve the CHW/HHW lines. Installation of BAAQMD compliant burner and controls at Central Plant Rebuilt compressor for Chiller #3 and installed new motor. Ensured other chillers are functioning properly by performing tube cleaning and testing. Tune up and cleaning of cooling towers. Retrofit and upgrade UPB’s main circuit breaker at Central Plant. Perform testing on load centers UPA and UPB and associated transformers and circuit breakers at Central Plant Improve the reliability of cooling of the ITSS computer room by installing a new dual cool computer room air conditioning unit and associated condenser. Installation of new pipe supports in the main EVC tunnel as well as at the ITSS tunnel and the demolition of the associated corroded supports. Installation of new expansions joints, guides and anchors for the CHW and HHW piping that have excessive corrosion and/or have been determined to be leaking.
