The Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee is pleased to present its 2017-2018 Annual Report on the District's two general obligation bond programs. In November of 2010, the voters demonstrated their confidence in the District and passed Measure G-2010, a $268M general obligation bond initiative. In November 2016, the voters again supported the District by passing Measure X, a $748M bond initiative. These bond measures, established under Proposition 39, have the common goal of improving and equipping the teaching environments to better serve our students' needs. The Committee and the District wish to thank the community for their continued support of our students.
The Measure G-2010 and Measure X bond programs started off this year with the procurement and selection processes for bond program management, construction management, inspection and assessment services. While that process was underway, Measure G-2010’s projects continued to progress on both campuses. With the closing of this fiscal year, we saw the Colleges move several infrastructure, access and renovation projects toward final completion on both campuses. Additionally, the Colleges have been updating their Facilities Master Plans and working on project prioritization in preparation for the initiation of the next capital construction projects to be funded by Measures G-2010 and X. The Featured Projects section of this Annual Report will provide you with information on this year’s activities.
